i am not willing to do anything that affects my quality of life

my mother went from an furnace to a ductless mini split. her yearly bill went from 2000 a year to run the furnace to under 200 bucks a year!!! just on heating and cooling alone. no solar as she don't have that. we have a water furnace ( not cheap to install ) but worth it in the long run since it don't cost us anything to run since we have a large solar array

I make baking mix...flour /baking powder..or self rising flour..1/3 c dry milk flakes..I drizzle olive oil..in 10" frying pan..gently stir in water to the consistency of pancake mix..add cheese..sausage bits onions. peppers..heat until it bubbles..flip and cook a few minutes..I dont add eggs..those I eat on the side scrambled..no oven needed

Thanks for sharing your recipes. I have a crockpot that "slow" cooks faster than any other, I usually use low or warm to cook food. 🤣🤣 Have you shared your breakfast casserole? 👍🥰

Ed and I like breakfast for supper a few times a week. I make an 8x8” pan of French toast, sometimes I chop baked potatoes, fry with onions, peppers, throw cheeses on top, cover til melted, serve with a bit of fruit . We don’t have meat with every meal.

Nobody should be starving in this country with how cheaply we can make good wholesome food

My grown daughter and I share our meals and desserts! She lives close by so that works well, especially with casseroles. I also drive an old car from 2008 and it’s paid for. I’ve added lots more salads to my diet; cut up hard boiled egg in them too. Eating a light supper rather than a big dinner. Taking time to call friends. Gardening now that Spring is here. Then spending time outside! And best a of all spending time in my Bible and with the Lord.

Ug!! We have 3 drivers, 4 old vehicles, great coverage, live in the high priced south and we pay $259. I'm also told the same thing from insurance?? Your insurance is crazy! I'm sorry to hear all that for you!

I have to have home owners insurance with my loan, but living in the south it is crazy high. Ours is bundled with car insurance, which helps and saves about six hundred a month. We can't afford to live anywhere else. There is no cheaper alternative.

We still drive a 1994 Astro Van. It is a local vehicle for us, in county only... to and from work only. There is no public transportation available in our area. We bought all of our vehicles used. We bought a 2002 Tahoe from my neighbor's kids when their elderly parents died. I would never buy a new car. Hopefully, our old vehicles will keep going for a long time. I have seen videos where the Astro van had 444,000 miles. We haven't even hit 200,000 yet. She isn't pretty but she is a tank. Ironically people stay away from you in old vehicles, I think that they think that you don't have insurance but we do! I love it... feel free to stay away from us old junkers... it keeps us safer! :)

Why add the baking mix??? There are SO many ways to use oats. Search online for oat recipes and you will have many new ideas. Oats are cheap and packed full of protein, complex carbs and fiber, everything a body needs. You can flavor baked oats and or overnight oats with anything. I make most of my treats with oats. 😊💛😋

Hello, From North Carolina. Due to diabetes I try to avoid the bread crust. I make a crustless quiche in an old style small Corningware dish using 3 or 4 eggs depending on the size. Works great. Enjoy your breakfast!❤

Have you ever considered helping “technology challenged” people with their issues? I’ve had many instances where I had to wait until my granddaughter was available to help me with something. IDK what this would look like practically , but I think there’s a need here somewhere.

Decades ago I made my own baking mix. I do make my own brown sugar. I need to go back to that, thanks Dawn.

The easiest way to clean baked on gunk is super hot water and dawn dish detergent. Let it sit and soak while you cook,or clean other things.

If I have stale bread, I make bread pudding, breadcrumbs,or stuffing or croutons. Easy way to use up older bread,chips, crackers,etc.all you need is a blender or food processor
